Trading objectives
The rulebook. In plain sight.
Every great competition runs on clear rules. Here's exactly how targets, loss limits and breaches work — with worked examples. Your dashboard tracks your levels in near real time, and monitoring your breach levels is your responsibility.
Objective 01
Profit targets
Hit the target in each step to advance. Funded Accounts have no profit target, and no plan has a max-time requirement.
One Step
10%
Single assessment
Two Step
10% / 5%
Step 1 / Step 2
Three Step
5% × 3
5% in each of three steps
Objective 02 · Hard breach
Daily Loss Limit
The maximum an account may lose in a single trading day. It resets each day at 5:00 PM EST and is calculated from the greater of the prior day's end-of-day balance (closed P&L only) or end-of-day equity (balance plus open P&L), so unrealized gains at the end of the day are reflected.
Example · $100,000 account, 5% limit
In profit at reset
Equity of $102,000 is used. 5% = $5,100.
Breach level
$96,900
Flat or in a loss
Balance of $100,000 is used. 5% = $5,000.
Breach level
$95,000
Objective 03 · Hard breach
Max Drawdown
Static
Two Step 8% · Three Step 5%Set at a defined percentage of your starting balance when the account is opened. It is equity-based, static and never trails.
Trailing
One Step 6%Trails your closed balance (not equity) high-water mark until a pre-defined return is achieved, then locks at your starting balance and never moves again.
Trailing example · $100,000 start, 6% trailing
Closed balance
$100,000
Breach threshold
$94,000
Closed balance
$102,000
Breach threshold
$96,000
Closed balance
$106,000
Threshold locks at
$100,000
Account grows to
$170,000
Threshold stays
$100,000
Once locked, you would only breach this rule if account equity returns to $100,000. The Daily Loss Limit still applies.
Conduct on the field
Inactivity, weekends & news
Inactivity
If there is no trading activity on your account for 30 consecutive days, the account is breached. Place a trade at least once every 30 days.
Flat for weekend
All trades must be closed by 3:45pm EST on Friday unless you purchased Hold Over Weekend. Open trades are closed automatically and you can keep trading when markets reopen. Only crypto trades over the weekend. If a Friday holiday closes markets, close positions before the markets close on Thursday.
News events
Opening a position within 3 minutes before or after a News Event is prohibited. Such positions may be closed with P&L removed, leverage may be reduced, or the account may be breached. The Company determines what constitutes a News Event.
| Breach type | Triggered by | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Soft breach | e.g. trades left open past the Friday 3:45pm EST cut-off | Trades that violated the rule are closed. You can continue trading. |
| Hard breach | Daily Loss Limit, Max Drawdown or Inactivity | The Assessment is failed or the Funded Account is removed. |
Fair play
Prohibited trading
Automated strategies are allowed, but every trader must compete on their own individual strategy. Copy trading between accounts is permitted only if you own all the accounts involved.
If Prohibited Trading is detected, participation may be terminated, including forfeiture of fees paid. Trading activity is reviewed by the Company and the Liquidity Provider before any Funded Account is issued. Full Prohibited Uses are listed in the Terms and Conditions.
- Exploiting errors or latency in pricing or platforms provided by the Liquidity Provider
- Using non-public or insider information
- Front-running of trades placed elsewhere
- Trading that jeopardizes the relationship with a Liquidity Provider, may result in cancelled trades, or creates regulatory issues for the Liquidity Provider
- Using any third-party, off-the-shelf, or "pass-the-challenge" marketed strategy
- Using one strategy to pass an assessment and a different strategy in a funded account
- Arbitraging an assessment account against another account at the Company or any third party
- Group trading, signal services, passing services, or other methods that bypass individual strategy
- Opening a position within 3 minutes before or after a News Event
- Gambling — e.g. using maximum leverage to open large positions hoping to reach targets through a single price movement
